General information about Sozopol

Sozopol is an ancient town, point of interest since the time of the Thracians and the Roman emperors. It is a charming resort situated on a narrow peninsula and definitely one of Black Sea coast’s sightseeing.
There are two gulfs with white sandy beaches, unique atmosphere, a great number of accommodation places and very good transport links. It is a popular Bulgarian seaside resort and makes an excellent base point for exploring the south coast area. Distance by car to Varna is 160km, 416km to Sofia and 286km to Plovdiv.
