Cross border rentals
With Top Rent A Car, borders are not a limitation. Our clients can take advantage of the opportunity to travel outside Bulgaria and discover the beauty of nearby European countries with comfort and security.
By default, traveling abroad with Top Rent A Car vehicles is possible upon предварителна заявка to countries neighboring Bulgaria (Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, and the European part of Turkey).
The service can be added during the online reservation process on our website at the final step.
A standard administrative fee is charged, depending on the selected vehicle class. The stated administrative fee applies to visiting one of the listed countries. For each additional country, the client pays an extra fee amounting to 50% of the fee for the first country. The security deposit is doubled unless Premium protection coverage is added.
Authorizations are issued with a validity period until the end of the rental, but not exceeding 25 days. For rentals with authorization for traveling abroad longer than 25 days, the client must pay the authorization fee once again in full.
Travel to more distant destinations
Rentals for travel abroad to Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, and other European countries are possible upon individual request review and only after explicit approval by the Lessor.
It is necessary to send an official request to the company’s email - bookings@toprentacar.bg or specify it in the request through the website – Travel to other countries. The client must provide detailed information regarding the trip: purpose of travel, exact route, expected mileage, and any other information required by the Lessor.
The request is reviewed by the company’s management, and upon approval, a personalized offer is prepared. The administrative fee and deposit are determined based on the request.
After confirmation from Top Rent A Car, the Renter is required to send a clearly scanned copy of their driver’s license and passport at least 1 working day before the start of the rental in order to issue the necessary documents. Restrictions may apply.
